Youth
"For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." (Jeremiah 29:11)
High School Services
Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity. ( 1 TIM 4:12)-NKJV
University/College Services
The University/College fellowship serves youth after graduating from high school. It’s an important part of their life as they stand for their faith among their peers, leading by example as Christians role models. It also helps, through the grace of God, to build life-long friendships and relationships among one another in a Godly environment.
Meeting discussions range from Spirituality, Dogma, Theology, History, Bible Studies, and Social topics. We also pray together asking for God to open our minds and hearts to His word, and to place His words into the minds and hearts of His servants.
Grads and Young Adults Services
“He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.” (John 7:38)
F.L.O.W. (Fellowship, Love, Outreach, Worship) is a weekly meeting for grads and young adults. The meeting occurs every Monday and as per the initials of the meeting’s name, its purpose is to have a fellowship with God and with one another, focus on God’s love to us and reflect it to others, reach out to everyone and share worship songs, praises and prayers together.
The service enriches our grads and young adults spiritually and strengthens their faith to live a better Christian life growing in fellowship with God and one another and witnessing for Him in our life.
What makes the meeting special is that each Monday of the month has its own theme. The 1st Monday is for Sharing/Learning/Discussion, 2nd Monday is for Spiritual/Social/Dogma Talk to be presented by a speaker, 3rd Monday is for Sports/Games/Activity day and 4th Monday is for Prayer Meeting/Bible Study. In the case of a 5th Monday, then it’s for Fellowship/Social Night.
Youth Bible Study
It’s a crucial time to continue planting the seeds of God’s Word into our lives during the days of youth, as Solomon the king says, “Remember now your Creator in the days of your youth, Before the difficult days come, And the years draw near when you say, 'I have no pleasure in them'”. (Ecclesiastes 12:1)
SMSJ Youth Bible Study is held every Thursday for youth; we study the Holy Bible book by book, alternating between Old Testament and New Testament. Interactive charts, graphics, maps and video clips are used to give background and introduce the book, then a book reading plan is set, and in each session, a summary is discussed in question and answer format.
